A little piece of Surrey Minor Hockey history has made its way onto the big screen!

Adam Sandler can be spotted sporting an original Surrey Minor Hockey Association jersey in Happy Gilmore — and the SMHA jersey makes another appearance in Happy Gilmore 2.

It’s a fun connection between SMHA and one of the most recognizable Canadian-themed sports comedies, and pretty cool to see a piece of Surrey hockey history represented on screen.
