Current Volunteer Positions
Surrey Minor Hockey Association is currently seeking volunteers for the positions listed below. These roles help support the day-to-day operation of the association and the delivery of a positive hockey experience for players, families and team officials.
Equipment Coordinator
Oversee the association’s equipment and storage supplies, coordinate storage-room volunteers and help ensure inventory is organized, current and appropriately stocked. This position works with the President to order required items and may be shared by two people.
Tournament Co-Coordinator
Help coordinate, organize and oversee SMHA league tournaments throughout the season.
U11 Division Manager
Oversee players, team officials and league-related matters for the U11 division.
U15 Division Manager
Oversee players, team officials and league-related matters for the U15 division.
U18 Division Manager
Oversee players, team officials and league-related matters for the U18 division.
U6–U9 Division Lead
Oversee players, team officials and league-related matters for the U6–U9 divisions.

Other Ways to Volunteer
In addition to the specific positions currently available, SMHA is always interested in hearing from people who would like to help throughout the season.
General Volunteers
SMHA is always looking for dependable people who can assist with events, team activities, administration and other association needs. Whether you can help occasionally or more regularly, your support is appreciated.
Tournament Volunteers
Tournament volunteers are needed throughout the season to assist with setup, admissions, hospitality, scorekeeping, raffles and other event responsibilities. Opportunities become available as tournament dates approach.
