Surrey Minor Hockey Announces 2026–2027 A1 Head Coaches

Surrey Minor Hockey Association is pleased to announce the head coaches who will lead our A1 programs for the 2026–2027 season.

These experienced coaches bring a strong commitment to player development, sportsmanship, teamwork and creating positive environments where athletes can learn, compete and reach their full potential.

2026–2027 A1 Coaching Staff

U18 A1

Aman Sandhu – Head Coach

Aman returns to lead the U18 A1 program, bringing a wealth of coaching experience and a proven commitment to developing athletes both on and off the ice. His focus on leadership, accountability and team culture will help prepare players for success throughout the season.

U15 A1

Zack Samusevich – Head Coach

Zack returns as Head Coach of the U15 A1 team after leading the program during the previous season. His player-first approach emphasizes skill development, Hockey IQ and creating a competitive environment that supports long-term athlete growth.

U13 A1

Stan Dy – Head Coach

Returning as Head Coach of the U13 A1 team, Stan continues to build on an outstanding coaching career that includes recognition as the 2025–2026 SMHA Coach of the Year. His focus on confidence, character and player development has made a lasting impact throughout the association.

U11 A1

Harp Kalkat – Head Coach

Harp joins the U11 A1 program with extensive coaching experience and a passion for developing young athletes. His emphasis on fundamentals, teamwork and creating a positive learning environment will provide an excellent foundation for players entering competitive hockey.

We are excited to welcome each of these coaches as they begin preparations for the upcoming season.
